The Lead Field Applications specialist – Protein Research is responsible for providing Pre-sales and post-sales technical support, trainings, troubleshooting & product presentations & demonstrations for Protein Research products within ASEAN region.

This position reports to the Discovery Specialist Leader and is part of the Discovery Commercial team located in Singapore working remotely to cover ASEAN region to drive the Protein Research portfolio.  At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

• Support regional pre and post sales technical and application activities including trainings, troubleshooting, customer demonstrations and seminars. Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and competence on protein purification, biomolecule interaction analysis using SPR technology, western blot and Imaging solutions from Cytiva
• Develop and execute product training plan for existing customers/sales teams/channel partners for the protein purification and analysis segment
• Drive focus projects to promote workflow solutions from Cytiva Protein Research portfolio to improve customer processes and gain market share.
• Seek opportunities to convert technical enquiries into new sales opportunities through technical discussions with customers and channel partners by understanding customer requirements and promoting workflow based Cytiva solutions
• Support Cytiva marketing activities as a subject matter expert in delivering technical presentations and product demonstrations.

Who you are:

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or equivalent. Master’s or PhD will be added advantage.
• 2-5 year(s) of relevant technical and applications related experience or equivalent
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in protein research. Desired to have hands-on experience with Cytiva protein research solutions – Lab scale AKTA systems and resins, Biacore (SPR) technology, western blotting and CCD based imagers.
• Prior experience and exposure working in academic and/or translational centers in drug discovery and development are highly desired

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

Willingness to travel 40-50% within ASEAN region and periodic long-distance travels for sales meetings, training, seminars and tradeshows.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Hands-on experience in protein purification & studying molecular interactions with Cytiva instruments and solutions - Lab scale AKTA systems and resins, Biacore (SPR) technology, western blotting and CCD based imagers.
• Process development experience for protein purification & characterization
