Partner with the best

The Lead Engineer plays a supporting role through both individual and team assignments. In many cases they must apply technical and business knowledge to ensure successful outcomes. They should be able to work with and within cross-functional and cross-discipline teams.

As Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing design, evaluation, analysis, testing, and integration of projects using engineering principles and adherence to standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements.
  • Performing engineering administrative tasks as required including creation and/or review/approval of test plans, reports, and/or drawings
  • Managing tasks to meet technical requirements of assigned components, systems, and projects.
  • Working together with cross-discipline and cross-functional teams for technical and program design reviews.
  • Providing technical discipline leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project(s).
  • Assuring proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks is consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college and be an actively registered P.Eng with APEGA, or be eligible to register
  • Have a minimum of 7 years of experience with product design, development, and evaluation for manufacturability including compliance and reliability fundamentals
  • Have a minimum of 7 years of machine design experience with complex equipment and/or systems
  • Have a minimum of 7 years experience in inline inspection of pipelines
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience managing direct reports comprised of engineers and/or designers
  • Have advanced problem-solving skills in applied mechanics, engineering design, and technology development
  • Have the ability to manage tasks to meet technical requirements of assigned components, systems, and/or project(s)
  • Be able to perform engineering administrative tasks including creation and/or review of test plans, reports, and/or drawings
  • Must have knowledge or certified to perform MT, VT, MFL, PT and other NDE methods as required.
