About the Role:
Hims & Hers is seeking a highly motivated, talented, and experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our Subscription Management team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, design, medical, marketing, and analytics, to build innovative features that drive significant growth across all treatment categories on hims.com and forhers.com, as well as our iOS and Android mobile apps. By enhancing the user experience and optimizing acquisition funnels, you will play a pivotal role in expanding and retaining our customer base and increasing revenue.
You Will:
- Lead and execute the design, development, and deployment of high-impact features for our web storefront and mobile apps
- Build scalable and performant solutions primarily within the front-end that drive business growth
- Mentor and develop team members by setting best practices for architecture, coding, delivery, and operations
- Foster collaboration across engineering pods and teams to create reusable, scalable solutions, contributing to architecture blueprints that benefit the entire organization
- Partner with key stakeholders in product, design, infrastructure, marketing, and project management to make data-driven decisions and optimize performance
- Contribute to the technical and strategic vision of the Customer Experience Engineering pods, identifying and implementing new technologies to enhance security, scalability, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with backend and quality engineers to deliver high-quality code that powers hims.com and forhers.com
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by actively participating in sprint ceremonies and process refinement
You Have:
- 10+ years experience in software engineering, preferably in a growth-focused engineering environment.
- A strong understanding of modern web technologies (React, GraphQL, Javascript, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3)
- Strong familiarity with modern mobile technologies, including React Native
- Proven experience building complex consumer web applications with a strong understanding of state management
- Strong understanding of CSS, design principles, and component library creation.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
- Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Ability to move quickly and set clear deadlines.
- Strong prioritization skills with the ability to manage competing projects and align the delivery expectations with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with cloud hosting providers such as AWS

The actual amount will take into account a range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and location. H&H also offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package that may include an equity grant.

$170,000—$200,000 USD
