This position is 100% onsite; no remote or hybrid option is available at this time.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Work with the Integrated Manufacturing Process and Product Design Team (IMPPDT) and analyze existing designs driven by corrective action requests (CARs) and redesign based on manufacturing considerations.
Drive manufacturing considerations, including design-to-cost and quality, very early in the design process.
Provide consistent direction and accountability throughout the conceptual design, development, and production phases.
Create designs to eliminate the need for redesign late in programs to address producibility and functionality.
Be responsible for generating the design, layout, planning, launch plan, tooling, FTP’s, etc., necessary for entering into production.
Be responsible for process development, Discrepancy Reports (DR’s), CARDs, and associated design updates & PPAP before parts are designated as production-ready.
Ensure non-conforming parts are segregated and managed in compliance with regulatory standards while awaiting review and formal disposition.
Ensure employee compliance with the various computerized systems on the factory floor, such as Online Quality Reporting (OQR), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Factory Data Collection (FDC), and other similar programs.
M-F 40 hrs./wk. 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
U.S. or Foreign Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related Field)
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the manufacturing of aerospace gas turbine engines.
A minimum of 2 years of experience with Integrated Manufacturing processes and product design related to gas turbine engines and Geometrical dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
