Lead Electrical Engineer
Lead Electrical Engineer positions offered by Kimberly-Clark USA, LLC (Jenks, Oklahoma). This role leads and supports the design, research and capital project management initiatives across North America for tissue machines, converting equipment, and mill utility systems, including detailed engineering design, scope definition, budget development and control, OEM/vendor coordination, bid package development and evaluation, construction support, commissioning, and startup. The position applies advanced knowledge of tissue manufacturing processes and electrical engineering to design, specify, and integrate complex systems such as DCS/ PLC-based controls, machine drives, QCS systems, web handling controls, and automated converting lines. Lead single or multiple product or process improvement projects with a financial scope of up to $10 million from conception through commercialization. Provide leadership and creativity in the initiation of design, development, and optimization of tissue and/or towel converting and manufacturing equipment and processes to meet unit objectives. Develop knowledge and skills of the application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, and project management. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel. Identify complex technical issues and provide necessary solutions to eliminate root cause. Assist in the development of others within the area of expertise.
Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Control Engineering, or a related field and 4 years of experience working in a mill, production, or staff R&E environment.
• Must have 4 years of experience in each of the following:
Performing project management.
Working with manufacturing control systems, including Rockwell programming, AC Drives, Servo Drives, and PLC logic.
Working with paper manufacturing, including tissue machine or converting operations, stock preparation, waste water, chemical handling, and utilities.
Designing and optimizing tissue converting processes, including unwinding, rewinding, calendaring, coating, folding, cutting, conveying, wrapping, bundling, cartoning, case-packing, and palletizing.
Automating processes in distributed control applications, including control loops.
Performing electrical engineering in the following areas:
Sectionalized drive control and the regulation of coordinated sections involving various control schemes.
Servo-based motion control for position and velocity; and
Visualization applications for operator interface displays.
• Position reports to Jenks, OK office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.
• Must be willing to travel domestically 30%.
• Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
Salary Range: 128,000 – 128,000 USD

The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Control Engineering, or a related field
- 4 years of experience working in a mill, production, or staff research and engineering environment
- 4 years of experience performing project management
- 4 years of experience with manufacturing control systems, including Rockwell programming, AC Drives, Servo Drives, and PLC logic
- 4 years of experience with paper manufacturing, including tissue machine or converting operations, stock preparation, wastewater, chemical handling, and utilities
- 4 years of experience designing and optimizing tissue converting processes
- 4 years of experience automating processes in distributed control applications, including control loops
- 4 years of experience with sectionalized drive control and coordinated section regulation
- 4 years of experience with servo-based motion control for position and velocity
- 4 years of experience with visualization applications for operator interface displays
- Must live within commuting distance of the Jenks, Oklahoma office
- Must be willing to travel domestically 30%
