As a Lead Electrical Design Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a key role in leading electrical engineering projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components. The lead engineer will provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to the team, ensuring the successful execution of projects. You will report directly to our manager of electrical engineering and you’ll work out of our Lancaster, PA location on a On-site work schedule.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical engineering projects from conception to production support
  • Design work will include CCAs, cables, electrical subsystems, and test equipment.
  • Write documents such as design disclosures, requirements documents, and test plans.
  • Provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to the team members
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
  • Design and develop electrical systems and components
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering with prior experience in a lead or senior engineering role
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, practices, and standards
  • Proficiency in electrical design software and tools, capable of leading design efforts and ensuring technical accuracy
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex electrical engineering challenges
  • Experience in the US defense industry
  • Ability to obtain a US security clearance (security clearances are only granted to US citizens)
