Lead Diversity, Inclusion, & Belonging Consultant
Develops, implements, administers, and supports initiatives within and outside the company in support of a diverse and inclusive workforce. Aligns activities to company AAP plan and goals. Tracks data and performs analysis to measure program effectiveness. Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of affirmative action and equal opportunity compliance programs.
Job Summary/Overview:
As Lead Diversity, Inclusion, & Belonging (DIB) Consultant you will serve as an internal consultant to (client) leaders, business units, HR Business Partners and HR Centers of Expertise in the areas of diversity and Inclusion, bias mitigation, and change management.
To be successful in this role, you will have an entrepreneurial mindset as we are growing the capabilities and reach of the Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging function at (client). You will have the opportunity to work on progressive, game-changing initiatives, pioneer new programs and processes, and build leadership capabilities for our future. This is a roll-up your sleeves and build from the ground up position.
You will be responsible for assisting leaders with improving their organization’s diversity results and building leader’s and team’s inclusion capability. You will drive and consult on the design, implementation and adoption of strategic business and DIB strategies and initiatives. You will manage multiple full cycle projects/programs from development through evaluation that drive organizational performance and effectiveness. You will also process ownership responsibility for key functional areas within the Human Resource team. These processes may include company culture initiatives, strategy and goal planning, DIB assessment & design, change management, mergers & acquisitions, and employee engagement.
Scope of Responsibilities:
- Provides consultation to client organizations to assist them in achieving measurable diversity, inclusion, and belonging improvements in their organizational performance and builds effective relationships with assigned clients at executive leader level and below
- Analyzes diversity and inclusion metrics, team behaviors, and processes, to determine business unit and company-wide programs that need to be changed and/or implemented in order to advance diversity, inclusion and belonging goals
- Leads process analysis and improvement initiatives to mitigate bias and support equity as well as developing methods for measuring effectiveness of all programs
- Facilitates midsize to large, global team and diversity, inclusion, and belonging interventions, programs and processes to support business objectives and strategy implementation
- Designs and facilitates implementation of appropriate change management initiatives associated with diversity, inclusion, and belonging activities
- Researches and reports on diversity, inclusion, and belonging best practices
- Gathers quantitative and qualitative data from a broad variety of sources; analyzes and synthesizes the information and prepares briefings and reports on trends, issues, and implications
- Creates reporting metrics, dashboards, and analytics to monitor and analyze progress and deliver data reports
- Facilitates working group meetings, conducts interviews and focus groups, develops and presents scenarios, and elicits business needs from conversations with stakeholders
- Develops proposals, work plans, schedules, and implementation strategies
- Provides thought leadership
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- University Degree or equivalent experience and 8 years of prior relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 6 years; or PhD with 3 years of experience
