Nokia of America Corporation, Lead Diagnostic Software and Firmware Development Engineer (Multiple Positions), Sunnyvale, CA.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop next generation Diagnostic infrastructure and develop diagnostic tests and tools for use in new hardware bring up.
Work with manufacturing test engineers to isolate and root cause failures seen during the manufacturing process using diagnostic tools.
Develop new drivers and maintain current drivers for in-house ASIC and FPGAs. Develop firmware-level tools in C and C++ to assist the hardware team with bringing up new boards, testing board features and stress-testing individual components.
Mentor junior engineers and interns on Nokia Diagnostics infrastructure maintenance.
Carry out tasks/activities according to assignment and set guidelines. #LI-DNI
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience; OR a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and 1 year of related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience with the following:
C++, C, Python, or BASH;
Industry Diagnostic infrastructures;
Custom ASIC bringup; and,
SDK Development for custom ASICs for use in hardware bringup and verification.
Skills may be gained through experience or academic coursework.
Qualifying education, coursework, and/or experience may have been gained concurrently.
