We’re seeking a Lead, Developer Experience Platform Engineer to lead the technical vision and execution of our internal platform offerings, enabling product teams to build, deploy, and operate applications at scale with confidence. As a senior individual contributor, you’ll serve as a key architect and hands-on engineer who bridges infrastructure and application development, ensuring our platform is secure, scalable, and developer-friendly.

You’ll work closely with engineering leadership, security, and architecture teams to shape the next generation of our cloud-native platform and be a force multiplier across engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the architecture for core platform services including compute orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes or Nomad), service discovery, CI/CD, observability, secrets management, and infrastructure as code.
  • Lead complex initiatives that cross team and organizational boundaries, from design through implementation and operationalization.
  • Partner with software engineers and architects to deliver platform capabilities that improve developer velocity, system reliability, and security.
  • Drive adoption of best practices around platform usage, including automation, testing, and resilience.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence through well-documented, reusable patterns and tools.
  • Mentor and coach engineers across teams through design reviews, code pairing, and informal learning sessions.
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies that improve our platform’s performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
  • Act as a technical advisor in incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term reliability planning.

Additional Job Description:

Required:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in (relevant degree) and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies (e.g., Helm, ArgoCD, service discovery).
  • Proficiency in atleast one programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go - Must have.
  • Strong experience in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with deep understanding of IAM, VPC, container services, and networking.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi) and CI/CD automation (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent).
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable, resilient systems used by other engineering teams.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across levels and disciplines without formal authority.

Preferred:

  • Experience contributing to platform strategies during cloud migrations or re-architecture efforts.
  • Familiarity with GitOps, platform APIs, and internal developer portal frameworks.
  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g., fintech, healthcare) with security and compliance considerations.

RESPONSIBILITIES• Adhere strictly to lean software development and continuous delivery methodologies. • Research, architect, and build sub-systems that integrate seamlessly with existing and new platforms. • Break down complex requirements into manageable units of work. • Thrive within a small, highly skilled, and motivated team. • Apply advanced design patterns and technologies appropriately without over-engineering solutions. • Develop high-quality software with a balanced approach to test automation. • Ensure compliance with all security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies and controls. • Communicate and document technical efforts for both technical and non-technical audiences. • Mentor and coach junior engineers to maintain a culture of performant and maintainable code. • Coordinate with globally distributed teams to align product needs and dependencies. EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. • 9+ years of professional experience in software engineering. • Full-stack .NET development expertise (SQL Server, C#, HTML/CSS, JavaScript). • Familiarity with MVVM and front-end frameworks (Vue, Angular, React). • Experience with test automation frameworks and auto-mocking tooling. • Practical experience with multiple design patterns and SOLID principles. • Strong communication, coordination, and decision-making skills. • Domain experience in the banking industry is a plus.

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
