The Role
As passionate about our people as we are about our mission.

Why Join Q2?

Q2 is a leading provider of digital banking and lending solutions to banks, credit unions, alternative finance companies, and fintechs in the U.S. and internationally. Our mission is simple: build strong and diverse communities through innovative financial technology—and we do that by empowering our people to help create success for our customers.

What Makes Q2 Special?

Being as passionate about our people as we are about our mission. We celebrate our employees in many ways, including our “Circle of Awesomeness” award ceremony and day of employee celebration among others! We invest in the growth and development of our team members through ongoing learning opportunities, mentorship programs, internal mobility, and meaningful leadership relationships. We also know that nothing builds trust and collaboration like having fun. We hold an annual Dodgeball for Charity event at our Q2 Stadium in Austin, inviting other local companies to play, and community organizations we support to raise money and awareness together.

Role Objectives:

Q2 is seeking a results-driven Data Analyst to transform how we analyze, visualize, and act on data across multiple operational teams. You will lead the shift from manual Excel-based reporting to scalable, automated dashboards in Power BI, integrating data from systems such as Salesforce, JIRA, PagerDuty, Splunk, SQL, and others. This role will partner closely with operational leaders to provide insights into team performance, service delivery, alert trends, and workload capacity, while also supporting project tracking and agile execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced dashboards in Power BI to visualize operational KPIs, SLA adherence, team performance, and workforce utilization across multiple functions.
  • Build and manage scalable data pipelines from systems such as Salesforce, JIRA, MS Teams, PagerDuty, Grafana, SignalFx, SentinelOne, SQL databases, and others.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, recurring issues, alert patterns, and operational inefficiencies; deliver insights to drive performance improvement and root cause resolution.
  • Lead Agile support activities, including facilitating standups, sprint planning, backlog management, and tracking progress toward operational goals using JIRA.
  • Provide regular reporting and deep-dive analysis on capacity planning, vulnerability trends, ROI for infrastructure initiatives, and benchmarking against internal and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver meaningful, actionable data products aligned with business priorities.
  • Communicate key insights in executive reviews using visual storytelling and business-aligned reporting.
  • Apply contextual understanding of infrastructure operations, incident workflows, and monitoring systems to ensure analytics are operationally relevant and actionable.

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in Power BI development (data modeling, DAX, Power Query).
  • Strong proficiency and experience querying large and complex datasets.
  • Hands-on experience integrating data from platforms such as Salesforce, JIRA, PagerDuty, Grafana, SignalFx, and Splunk
  • Knowledge of ETL tools and data integration methods
  • General understanding of IT operations and infrastructure environments including monitoring tools, alert flows, and incident management processes

Analytical Competency:

  • Proven ability to analyze operational metrics, track SLAs, and support workforce and capacity planning.
  • Skilled in identifying trends, correlating incidents, and using statistical methods to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Experience delivering KPI benchmarking, performance reporting, and ROI analysis for technology or infrastructure initiatives.

Agile & Project Coordination:

  • Hands-on experience leading Agile routines such as daily standups, sprint planning, and backlog management.
  • Strong working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and similar platforms for tracking operational projects and performance outcomes.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong storytelling and visualization skills to present insights clearly to technical and executive audiences.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Effective collaborator across technical, operational, and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or equivalent practical experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or operational reporting.
  • 8+ years of experience in a data analyst or business intelligence role supporting IT operations, infrastructure, or service management teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI in an enterprise or multi-system environment, including dashboard development and cross-system data integration.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, or Six Sigma frameworks, and experience applying them in a data-driven support capacity.
  • Prior experience working with data from monitoring, alerting, or incident management systems such as PagerDuty, Grafana, SignalFx, Splunk, or SentinelOne.
  • Experience presenting insights and participating in strategic planning or operational reviews.
