Our Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for architecting, implementing and maintaining our data environment, including data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and a BI tool. Though we are ideally looking for someone with 3-5 years of experience, assessed ability is equally important to us. This role will support our data scientists, analysts and software developers on all data initiatives and must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products. The ideal candidate is a proven self starter who will be excited by the opportunity to take ownership of our company’s data architecture and support our next generation of products and data initiatives. This is an individual contributor role with strong potential of a transition into management.

What You'll Do
- Architect, implement, and maintain a comprehensive data environment including data warehousing, ETL pipelines and a BI tool
- Create a vision for Data Engineering, and owning and driving the Data Engineering roadmap
- Be a champion for data quality, continuously improving data reliability, efficiency, quality, and usability
- Contribute to production database design
- Train engineers on the tradeoffs between data access patterns and achieve adoption of best practices
You're a Great Fit if You Have:
- 3-5 years of data engineering experience (while years of experience is relevant, assessed ability is equally important to us)
- Experience architecting, implementing, and maintaining a data warehouse (with a tool such as Redshift)
- Experience in data replication, data failover, and data obfuscation
- Experience implementing and administering a BI tool (such as Looker or Tableau)
- Proficiency in administering and designing SQL and NoSQL Databases (Postgres, DynamoDB, etc.)
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or equivalent language for backend service development
- Ability to take abstract problem sets and transform them into a comprehensive strategy with success metrics
- Ability to prioritize, working independently or collaboratively, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

- Experience with financial data
- Familiarity with AWS
