Lead Creative Strategist - Donut Studios

WHAT YOU’LL DO

We’re looking for a Lead Creative Strategist to take point on our most impactful client accounts and help guide our growing team. You’ll lead creative direction, shape testing strategies, diagnose performance dips, and mentor junior strategists—all while collaborating closely with our Senior Creative Director to co-manage the team. If you’ve worked at a digital marketing agency or in-house at a DTC brand, and you know how to drive performance through smart, scroll-stopping creative, this role is for you. 

What you'll be diving into day-to-day:

• Strategic Ownership & Performance
  • Lead creative strategy on multiple high-priority accounts with minimal oversight
  • Develop and evolve creative strategy across testing, scaling, and evergreen phases
  • Diagnose creative performance issues and implement effective solutions
  • Improve ROAS and increase scale on underperforming accounts
  • Maintain stable account performance for extended periods (6+ months)
  • Launch high-volume, high-spend new clients and set them up for success
  • Build and document strategy frameworks for handoff or ongoing growth
• Execution & Creative Direction
  • Brief creative partners clearly and thoroughly, reducing the need for rewrites or clarification
  • Review and quality check final exports to ensure they meet strategy and brand expectations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, production, and media teams to launch high-impact work
• Team Collaboration & Client Leadership
  • Serve as the strategic lead in client meetings, presentations, and resets
  • Co-manage the creative strategy team alongside the Senior Creative Director
  • Mentor and support junior strategists, helping them grow their skills and confidence
  • Develop and refine systems that make creative collaboration efficient and scalable

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• 4+ years of experience in paid social creative strategy, ideally at a digital marketing agency or in-house at a DTC brand
• Strong instincts for direct response creative and platform-specific storytelling
• Proven track record of leading client strategy and improving creative performance
• Deep understanding of Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and other digital channels
• Excellent communicator and collaborator who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
• Confident briefing partner and creative reviewer with high attention to detail
• Tools and nice to haves:
  • Proficiency with Asana, Notion, Slack, and Google Suite (especially Sheets)
  • Familiarity with Figma or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Bonus points for experience with creative testing frameworks or building UGC programs

Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000
The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
