The Boeing Company is currently seeking a highly motivated Lead Contract Management Specialist (Level 5) for our Space Mission Systems program area out of El Segundo, California.
In this role, you will develop, negotiate, and manage proposals and contracts for Boeing's Space Communications Programs portfolio. This position will focus on delivering timely contractual solutions, fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance to applicable policies and regulations, and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies to support Boeing's growth and execution of programs.
We're Looking for Individuals Who:
- Have a broad set of experience with United States Government (USG) contracts, including: cost-reimbursable and fixed-price contract types; research, development, production, operations, and sustainment efforts; and complex statements of work, and incentive arrangements
- Possess strong organizational skills to facilitate multiple concurrent workstreams
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members, executive leadership, and other stakeholders
- Are proven leaders and mentors, and able to support the training and development of early- and mid-career colleagues
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop timely and compliant proposals in support of Boeing's growth targets
- Summarize contractual issues that arise in complex contracts and proposals, perform financial analysis of contractual outcomes, and ultimately develop/implement/negotiate successful solutions
- Conduct negotiations and sign contracts for products, services, and technologies
- Develop, present, and implement business solutions to drive growth and protect company interests
- Ensure compliance with business commitments, company policies, and Government laws and regulations
- Review and approve work products prepared by colleagues
- Coordinate flow-down and flow-up of prime terms and conditions with Supplier Management
- Lead program startup activities for a newly captured major program to ensure the program is positioned for success during the execution phase
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Currently have a Bachelor's Degree or higher
- 5+ years of experience in business related function (including but not limited to: Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Supplier Management, Marketing & Sales)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 10+ years of experience drafting, proposing, negotiating and executing contracts and subcontracts
- 10+ years of experience building, developing and maintaining relationships with customers and/or suppliers
