BHFT is a proprietary algorithmic trading firm. Our team manages the full trading cycle, from software development to creating and coding strategies and algorithms. Our trading operations cover key exchanges. The firm trades across a broad range of asset classes, including equities, equity derivatives, options, commodity futures, rates futures, etc. We employ a diverse and growing array of algorithmic trading strategies, utilizing both High-Frequency Trading (HFT) and Medium-Frequency Trading (MFT) approaches. We’ve got a team of 200+ professionals, with a strong emphasis on technology—70% are technical specialists in development, infrastructure, testing, and analytics spheres. Job DescriptionDevelop and implement new features and services using Rust.
Provide architectural oversight, enforce best practices, and ensure alignment with company goals.
Lead the team: conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and support their professional growth.
Collaborate with development, trading, and DevOps teams to discuss requirements and design solutions for the trading platform.
Maintain and enhance existing modules based on business needs and feedback.
Ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of solutions through automated (unit, integration, performance) and manual testing in cooperation with the QA team.
Play a key role in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining top-tier engineering talent.
Strong backend development experience in Rust
Proven experience leading a team of 2-3 developers in a hands-on leadership role (player-coach)
Deep interest in HFT and algorithmic trading.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
