Currently, we are looking for a Lead Azure Data Engineer to join our team in Finland.
The person in this role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based data platforms. The role is central to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and quality of the data and analytics solutions of the client's organization. The work requires close collaboration with data analysts, data scientists, architects, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Data platform development and maintenance
- Development and operation of a cloud-based data platform on Azure
Design of data warehouse and/or data lake structures (e.g. medallion architecture)
Development and optimization of Databricks environments (clusters, performance, cost)
Data ingestion and integrations
Building and maintaining automated data pipelines (Azure Data Factory)
Data transfers from on-premise systems to the cloud and from various source systems to a centralized data platform
Implementation and management of API-based integrations (e.g. Azure API Management)
Infrastructure and automation
Defining and maintaining infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles (e.g. Bicep, Terraform)
Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, YAML)
Developing version control and release management practices
Data governance and security
Supporting data lifecycle management
Using metadata and governance solutions (e.g. Microsoft Purview)
Ensuring access management, security, and compliance requirements
Support and collaboration
Providing technical support to data analysts and other users
Maintaining and improving documentation
Participating in multiple parallel projects and development initiatives
