Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the Alarm Management ingestion, correlation and rationalization-engine implementation.
- Define canonical alarm schemas, asset/topology mapping and protection-sequence correlation rules.
- Deliver low-latency processing for SCADA, ADMS, protection relay and IED events.
- Implement flood handling, duplicate reduction, chattering detection, suppression and shelving controls.
- Lead performance tuning for more than 200 alarms per second, event visibility within 3-5 seconds and operator guidance within 30 seconds.
Technical skills required:
- Confluent Kafka, Schema Registry, connectors and stateful Flink stream processing
- Event-time processing, watermarking, late-event handling, deduplication and high-throughput design
- Graph/topology-aware event correlation, sequence rules and incident aggregation
- IEC 61968/61970 CIM concepts and ISA-18.2/IEC 62682 alarm-management practices
- Alarm flooding, chattering, stale-alarm detection, suppression, shelving, prioritization and escalation
- AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Aurora PostgreSQL, API Gateway, EventBridge and SNS
Skills Required
- Experience with Confluent Kafka, Schema Registry, connectors, and stateful Flink stream processing
- Knowledge of event-time processing, watermarking, late-event handling, deduplication, and high-throughput system design
- Experience with graph or topology-aware event correlation, sequence rules, and incident aggregation
- Knowledge of IEC 61968/61970 CIM concepts and ISA-18.2/IEC 62682 alarm-management practices
- Experience implementing alarm flooding, chattering, stale-alarm detection, suppression, shelving, prioritization, and escalation
- Experience with AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Aurora PostgreSQL, API Gateway, EventBridge, and SNS
