WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The Sports Marketing Legal team is responsible for NIKE’s sponsorship and endorsement contracts. The Legal team drafts and negotiates agreements with athletes, clubs, federations and governing bodies throughout EMEA, as well as providing legal advice and guidance on the varied issues that arise in connection with these high-profile partnerships.
The role (along with all other lawyers in the team) reports to the Senior Director, Assistant General Counsel, Sports Marketing EMEA.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a talented lawyer to join our Sports Marketing Legal Team based at our European Headquarters in Hilversum, the Netherlands. Our ability to secure a world-class roster of Sports Marketing talent is delivered by a small but incredible team of lawyers and legal professionals who provide industry-leading expertise every day. Our best lawyers have a faultless “client-facing” presence and can effectively communicate complex topics and concepts to wide and diverse audiences. They can balance multiple clients, priorities and projects, meet tight deadlines and be experts at presenting issues along with the possible solutions as well. They demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations and feel confident working in a dynamic, fast-paced and evolving environment.
You will be an enthusiastic and dedicated team player who feels an affinity to the power of sport, and will bring:

Qualified lawyer with (post-qualification) experience with a top law firm, international company or sports organization

Experience negotiating and drafting commercial contracts

Experience with sports or entertainment-specific transactions, endorsement or sponsorship contracts and related matters would be an asset

Fluency in English, written and oral. Additional language(s) would be an asset

Exceptional contract drafting skills

Skilled and effective communicator

Strong academic credentials
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
In this role you will support a variety of sports and geographies across EMEA. You will be responsible for structuring, drafting and negotiating a range of sponsorship, endorsement and related contracts. You will provide legal advice and guidance in connection with these agreements and other sports marketing related matters, including compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
