What kind of work awaits you? 

The way we interact and verify our identities is about to fundamentally change. 
The EU Digital Identity (EUDI) framework is creating a new EU-wide digital identity ecosystem, replacing fragmented and paper-based processes. 
 

This ecosystem will allow every EU citizen and resident to use a personal digital identity wallet. The wallet enables secure identification and authentication across all Member States and the ability to receive, store, and share digital credentials such as driving licences, diplomas, and permits. 
 

This transition creates significant opportunities for organisations to reinvent their digital services. Across both public and private sectors — from banking and healthcare to telecommunications and transport — organisations can now engage with customers in a more secure and seamless way. 

We believe you will succeed in this role if… 

You have the skills to define the architecture of critical services that enable numerous private and public sector organizations to rethink their digital services, while working closely with customers, partners, and other stakeholders. 
 

With us, you will be responsible for: 

• Leading the end-to-end solution architecture design for our Digital Identity services, primarily leveraging partner technologies and platforms. 
• Driving Tietoevry Create’s technical service development in the Digital Identity domain in dialogue with customers, partners, and stakeholders. 
• Acting as a key technical consultant and advisor for clients throughout their digital identity journey, from strategy to implementation. 
• Closely collaborating with customers and partners to translate business needs into robust and secure technical solutions. 
• Ensuring solutions align with the EUDI framework and comply with eIDAS and European Business Wallet regulations. 
• Identifying and mitigating technical risks across the service lifecycle. 

We are looking for someone with: 

• A strong track record in architecting business-critical, high-availability, and high-security systems. 
• Strong understanding of data security and privacy principles. 
• Extensive experience as a Lead Architect or Solution Architect. 
• Solid experience designing and building secure and scalable multicloud SaaS architectures on modern cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS). 
• Strong understanding of distributed and federated architectures. 

The following are considered significant advantages: 

• Deep understanding of integration patterns, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architectures. 
• Experience in strong authentication or identity verification, and with digital identity standards and protocols such as OpenID Connect (OIDC), OAuth 2.0, and SAML. 
• Knowledge of the eIDAS regulation and the EUDI Architecture and Reference Framework. 
• Familiarity with standards relevant to EU Digital Identity (EUDI) / eIDAS, such as OID4VCI, OID4VP, W3C VCDM 2.0, ISO 18013-5, and relevant ETSI standards for QES, QEAA Provider, and Trusted Lists. 
• Awareness of identity-related identifiers, signatures, and trust infrastructures (e.g., X.509/PKI, EU Trusted Lists, OpenID Federation, revocation/status mechanisms such as Status List, and optionally DID-based systems).
