Lead Analyst - Reporting

Reports to:  Director of Transactional Services - Administration

In Office: Boston MA

The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $100,000- $112,256

Job Summary

Avangrid is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Lead Analyst – Reporting to support its Administration function. This role is responsible for the development, maintenance, and delivery of key performance indicator (KPI) reports and other analytical outputs that support decision-making across multiple departments, including Control, Treasury, Purchasing, Internal Audit, and Tax.

The candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, transactional accounting, and reporting tools such as Power BI and Excel. They will provide expertise on data analysis and reporting methodologies, driving process improvements and leading special projects that enhance operational efficiency and insight.

As a member of the Avangrid Administration Management team, this position will support Avangrid Administration management as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports using Power BI and advanced Excel functionality.
  • Maintain documentation of reporting procedures and schedules to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement through data analytics.
  • Lead special projects including automation initiatives and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Stay current with data analytics tools and techniques to ensure best practices are applied.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field required and at least 6 years of relevant experience. The equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience performing analyses and transactional processing within a Finance organization. 
  • Advanced PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, VBA)
  • Experience using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Query, Power Automate, Power Bi)
  • Basic understanding of Python, SQL, Microsoft Fabric

  • Ability to effectively manage and analyze large amounts of transactional data.
