Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our team at Allbirds. Reporting directly to the Director of Analytics, the Senior Data Analyst will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify trends and patterns in data to inform strategic decision-making.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support various departments, including marketing, product development, and supply chain.
- Develop and maintain advanced SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from our databases efficiently.
- Utilize Python to analyze large datasets and develop data-driven insights to support business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to solve business challenges.
- Design and implement data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics).
- 5+ years of experience working as a data analyst, preferably in a retail or e-commerce environment.
- Have a solid understanding of foundational advertising P&L concepts, including diminishing/marginal returns, elasticity, and incrementality
- Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries to extract and manipulate data.
- Proficiency in Python/R for data analysis, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
- Experience working with large datasets and performing statistical analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate level experience with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Looker
- Ability to think in terms of creating data products in collaboration with engineers that have staying power in terms of useability and adoption
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques, forecasting and algorithms.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
What do we offer?
Remote: The pay range for this role is: $144,000 - $150,000 if performed in our San Francisco, CA office. This role can also be performed remotely. The pay range for this position is $130,000 - $138,000, if performed outside of our corporate office.
Allbirds routinely evaluates pay rates, and the ranges are subject to change based on market rates and other considerations. We factor in a number of components when determining starting pay, including the job and level you are hired into, location, skillset, experience and peer compensation.
