About the Job

We’re looking for an Accounting Lead to oversee our Thai entity’s accounting operations while managing a small team of 3-4 accountants. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead core processes such as AP, AR, GL, tax, and financial reporting support, while also ensuring compliance and internal controls. You’ll coordinate with external auditors and support international accounting for international entities. While leading the team, you’ll still be actively involved in key tasks, collaborating closely with the CEO and FP&A to keep our financial operations smooth and compliant.

In this role, you will get to:

Hands-On Accounting Operations (70%)

• Oversee and directly handle core accounting processes: AP, AR, GL, tax filing, and month-end closing in Odoo
• Prepare or review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Thai GAAP
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of VAT, WHT, CIT, and BOI reports
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage statutory audits
• Support international entity accounting by working with external firms and consolidating information
• Review key transactions and documentation to ensure quality and consistency

Team Leadership (30%)

• Lead and support a team of 3-4 accountants 
• Set team priorities, review work, and ensure efficient workflow
• Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to support team development
• Help define and improve internal processes, controls, and documentation standards
• Ensure alignment with company-wide accounting and compliance practices
• Partner with the FP&A by providing accurate, timely data to support planning and forecasting (without leading the financial planning process)
• Work with internal stakeholders and the CEO on financial matters, especially related to international entities

You will be successful if you have;

• At least 6 years of experience in accounting, with some experiences in leading or mentoring team members
• Strong technical knowledge of Thai GAAP, tax, and BOI regulations
• Experience working with overseas entities or cross-border accounting coordination
• Comfortable using ERP systems (Odoo is a plus)
• Experienced in preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax reports, and audit materials
• Willingness to be hands-on and own core accounting tasks
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accountability
• Good communication skills in Thai and English
