The Discord Safety Team seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Launch Program Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing a readiness process for product launches from scratch, collaborating with various stakeholders, and preparing the groundwork for project managers to effectively lead product teams through the established process.
What you'll be doing:
- Process Development and Execution:
- Develop, implement, and refine a launch process tailored to the organization's specific needs.
- Serve as the initial Launch Project Manager for a subset of Product Pillars to effectively lead product teams through the established process.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand their perspectives, needs, and expectations related to launch readiness.
- Foster relationships with project managers, product teams, and other relevant parties to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Documentation and Standards:
- Create comprehensive documentation outlining the launch process, including standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Ensure that the established process complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Training and Awareness:
- Develop training materials and conduct sessions to educate project managers and product teams on the launch process.
- Promote awareness and understanding of the process across the organization through effective communication channels.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Establish mechanisms for feedback and continuous improvement of the launch process.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators and adjust the process as needed to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
What you should have:
- 5+ years of experience in program management or a related role.
- Experience with product launches and process management in the fields of Trust & Safety, Content Policy, or similar operational fields
- Familiarity with SQL
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully implementing processes from inception
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with and influence diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices related to product launch processes and operational readiness for a Safety Team
- Ability to adapt to an ambiguous, dynamic environment and drive change within the organizatios
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $152,000 to $167,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
