LATAM Site Reliability Engineer

This role would play a crucial role in shaping and implementing engineering best practices and ensuring the successful delivery of complex software projects. With clients, we develop trust and influence - we are unintimidated and unintimidating. With colleagues, we set the standard for how we deliver success for clients.

• Help shape and evolve the way our clients build, release, and operate their software through modern DevOps practices.
• Build robust CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and help application teams deliver secure and reliable software quickly and confidently.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and client stakeholders to build systems that meet real-world demands—then help them scale.
• Integrate AI-assisted code suggestions (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cody) into engineering workflows
• Evaluate or prototype AI/ML-powered observability or security tools (e.g., AIOps platforms like DataDog Watchdog or Dynatrace Davis)
• Pair program and work shoulder-to-shoulder with teammates and clients to share knowledge, improve systems, and grow together.
• Champion tools and processes that promote observability, testability, repeatability, and operational excellence.
• Stay curious, continuously experiment, and bring back new learnings to share with the team and the wider SRE practice.

• You’re a systems thinker and a hands-on builder. You’re energized by automation, reliability, and helping teams move faster and safer.
• You know your way around cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), and have used tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker in real-world environments.
• You have strong opinions about how to build reliable software delivery systems, but you also love learning from others.
• You’re curious about AI’s impact on engineering workflows and are open to experimenting with new tools to increase efficiency.
• You have experience coaching teams through change, whether it's implementing infrastructure as code, standing up monitoring, or improving incident response.
• You value collaboration and are comfortable working with cross-functional teams, including clients who might be new to DevOps concepts.
• You enjoy helping others level up, whether that’s through pairing, mentoring, or just being the person who writes things down and shares knowledge.

• Paired with a teammate to improve a client’s build and deploy pipeline
• Designed a Kubernetes deployment strategy that balanced reliability and cost
• Built Terraform modules to provision secure environments for a new product launch
• Guided a team through adopting SLOs and setting up meaningful observability

• This is an hourly contract role for a four to six week contract.
