LatAm - Lead Java+Python Developer

 Job Overview:

As a Lead Backend Developer, you’ll be part of a dynamic team working on scalable backend systems and APIs. This role is ideal for developers who are fluent in both Java and Python and can confidently contribute to projects using either language. You’ll be involved in designing, building, and maintaining backend services, with opportunities to work on system integrations, database management, and potentially expand into Kotlin-based development.

• Design and develop backend services using Java (Spring) and Python (Flask).
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend logic.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions.
• Ensure code quality through best practices, testing, and code reviews.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to system design.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across services.
• Stay up to date with backend technologies and suggest improvements.

Must-Have:

• Proven experience in backend development with both Java (Spring) and Python (Flask).
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in both languages.
• Solid problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.
• Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus.
• A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience or interest in Kotlin development.
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Exposure to messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
• Experience working in agile environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
