Hourly Pay Range:
$19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.Position Highlights:
- Position: Laboratory Assistant II
- Location: Swedish Hospital
- Full Time/Part Time: Part Time, 16 hours
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 11am-7:30pm, rotating weekends and holidays
What you will do:
- Provide customer support as a liaison between laboratory and providers.
- Specimen processing and handling according to established guidelines, protocol and procedures.
- Record and document specimen information in Laboratory Information System.
- Prepare and track specimen for transport to reference laboratories.
- Maintain organized records, and are HIPPA compliant.
- Maintain and clean laboratory equipment.
- Assist with inventory control and supply ordering.
- Adhere to all safety protocol and infection control measures, including the proper disposal of biohazardous materials.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including CAP.
What you will need:
- Education: High school Diploma or equivalent
- Certification: N/A
- Experience: 1 year phlebotomy or laboratory experience
- Unique or Preferred Skills: Strong customer service, communicate and organizational skills.
