What this job involves: This role supports both biology and chemistry labs as assigned, performing equipment PMs, upkeeping routine lab maintenance, and keeping designated areas stocked. The position involves collaborating with BMS and JLL colleagues and lab management in maintaining a safe and clean environment.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Performing shipping and receiving duties in adherence to US DOT and IATA regulations
- Reporting abnormalities and unsafe conditions to lab management
- Supporting laboratory equipment preventative maintenance
- Defrosting or decontaminating lab equipment as needed
- Performing eyewash station testing
- Supporting and stocking laboratory supplies, PPE, glassware, etc.
- Consulting with clients on supply chain management
- Fulfilling glasswash and autoclave requests
- Collecting, transporting, and deploying lab coats
- Managing reagents and chemical inventory
- Documenting maintenance activities in Client's CMMS system
- Escorting vendors throughout secured spaces
- Assisting in other lab services operations as directed
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with general lab equipment, inventory management, and media preparation
- Knowledge of MS Office suite
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, manage, and organize time effectively
- Team player committed to customer service and quality
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
- Physical capability to walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds, and push or pull furniture weighing 50 pounds or more
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in life science, biology, chemistry, or 3 years of relevant work experience
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting
- Experience with work order and inventory tracking systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP)
- Proficiency with reagent management systems and chemical inventory management
Location: San Diego, CA-Onsite
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Salary/Comp: $23.08 - $25.00

Estimated compensation for this position:
48,000.00 – 52,000.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
