We’re seeking a demand Planner & Analyst to cover Aerospace & Industries (A&I) in LA. A&I resides within the Advanced Mobility under Diversified Industry. The A&I LoB includes the well-known MOLYKOTE®, Vespel® and MultibaseTM brands, serving aerospace & defense, transportation (lightweight to heavy-duty/off-road), consumer electronics, semiconductors, and industrial equipment with related aftermarkets.
60% of this role is demand analyst maintaining global master data in demand planning tool (OMP), maintaining and analyzing statistical fcst model, generating sales input fcst files, and 40% is LA demand planner.
In this role the successful candidate is responsible for the development and accuracy of the 24-month horizon, business critically unconstrained demand plan through communication and shared responsibility with market segment, product management, and regional sales leaders. They gain alignment on actions to execute the plan, track progress to plan, communicate the approved plan to all stakeholders, and work to improve future plans. They analyze demand trends, challenge input vs. assumptions, and follow-up on actions from steps of the demand or IBP processes. They are accountable for monitoring the performance of demand process and continually improving output, accuracy, and bias. The demand planner supports the demand and supply alignment process in the execution horizon via communicating significant changes.
Responsibilities:
- (60% of the role) As demand analyst, maintain master data and forecast model in OMP, generating and monitoring sales fcst input file and uploading progress. Closely work with demand planners in other regions to ensure master data accuracy in OMP framework. Work with Global OMP CI SME to resolve system-related issues and upgrade needs.
- Prepare for and support the Global Demand Review and pre-meetings. This includes preparation for changes to justify the initial consensus demand plan, significant changes, and risks and opportunities for area of responsibility.
- Work closely with sales, marketing and production teams to collect, analyze and validate forecast input. Develop rolling 24 months forecast.
- Aligns, assures buy-in on plans including numbers, risks, opportunities and actions with sales, marketing, and product team members on a continuing basis.
- Analyzes actual performance and demand metrics to identify causes of forecast error and bias. Drives corrective action to reduce bias and improve accuracy within area of responsibility.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Planning system experience (ex: APO, OMP, SAP). Preferred hands-on OMP (or other demand tool) roll-out or super user experience. Able to lead, deep dive and root cause investigation to resolve issues.
- Proven hands-on experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning and S&OP/IBP Process
- Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills, able to understand and address complex market demands.
- Proficiency in data analysis tool (Excel, Power BI).
- Broad flexibility and aptitude to work in a global team with cross-functions.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- High willingness to learn new competencies & system.
