What you’ll be doing
As a KYB Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in enabling smooth onboarding for our business partners while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. You will work closely with our Compliance, FinCrime, and Business Operations teams to assess business customers, mitigate risks, and contribute to the growth of our merchant network. You will be part of the Team based in Barcelona with a strong link with Luxembourg and Milan offices and report to the KYB Team Lead. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:

  • Perform business due diligence. Review merchants and companies documentation, verify business ownership structures, and ensure timely onboarding of merchants and business partners.

  • Assess business profiles. Analyze data, ownership, and activity to identify risks or inconsistencies, escalating suspicious cases to the appropriate teams (e.g., FinCrime).

  • Support businesses during onboarding. Provide clear and timely assistance, primarily via email, to guide businesses through the verification and activation process.

  • Conduct screening and background checks. Use databases such as PEP, sanctions lists, and adverse media to screen company representatives and UBOs (Ultimate Beneficial Owners).

  • Evaluate risk levels. Perform in-depth KYB risk assessments and contribute to the design and improvement of risk-based onboarding processes.

Who we’re looking for

We need a problem-solver who loves teamwork and gets things done. If you're curious and ready for real ownership, you'll fit in! Does this sound like you?

  • Relevant experience. You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar KYB/Compliance role, ideally within fintech, financial services, or a startup environment. Experience in customer care or business support is a strong plus.

  • Regulatory knowledge. You’re familiar with AML/CTF frameworks and business onboarding best practices.

  • Analytical mindset. You can spot red flags and inconsistencies, and know how to dig into data to uncover insights.

  • Language proficiency. You have professional fluency in written and spoken English; knowledge of Italian is a strong asset.
