Job Summary: As a Multimedia Journalist, you are Griffin Media's true all-in-one storyteller, independently shooting, writing, and editing your own stories from pitch to air. You'll develop sources, break news, and craft compelling visual stories on tight daily deadlines, often producing solo but coordinating closely with producers, photojournalists, and the assignment desk. You'll thrive in a fast-paced newsroom, using strong on-camera presence, sharp visual storytelling, and versatility across broadcast, digital, and social platforms to keep Oklahomans informed and connected to their communities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop sources and pitch daily enterprise stories that resonate with viewers across the OKC metro area.
- Independently shoot, write, and edit broadcast stories from start to finish, managing your own gear, footage, and deadlines; partner with a Photojournalist on larger productions when needed.
- Report live in the field with a Photojournalist, providing clear, accurate updates as stories develop.
- Conduct interviews, gather information, and produce polished, accurate stories under tight daily deadlines.
- Create content for digital and social media platforms, adapting stories for multiple audiences and formats.
- Collaborate with producers, photojournalists, and the assignment desk to align coverage with newscast and digital priorities.
- Foster meaningful connections with our audience through social media engagement, community outreach, and participation in public events.
- Uphold journalistic standards, ethics, and accuracy in all aspects of reporting and storytelling.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing news events, deadlines, and priorities.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned, including driving an automobile for company business.
Job Schedule: This is a full-time position primarily working 40 hours per week. You may also be called upon at times to fill in other hours and days of the week to help cover vacations, illnesses, breaking news, severe weather, or special projects/events. This position is not eligible to work remotely.

Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred. Related experience will be evaluated and may be substituted as years of education.
- Two years of experience in a television newsroom as an on-air MMJ preferred.
- Proficiency in videography, non-linear editing, and multimedia production for broadcast and digital platforms.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to produce accurate, clear, and compelling news content on deadline.
- Solid understanding of journalistic standards and news production across multiple platforms.
- Excellent on-camera presence and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Oklahoma driver's license and have a driving record acceptable to the company.
