Looking for a fun end-of-summer job where you can work with kids, stay active, and gain valuable experience? Mountain Park HOA is hiring a Late Summer Temporary/Substitute Camp Leader for KidZone Summer Camp.

This seasonal position is perfect for someone who is dependable, flexible, and enjoys working with children. Through August 17, you'll primarily serve as an on-call substitute, filling in when Camp Leaders are absent or additional staff support is needed. Beginning August 18 through the end of camp on September 4, you'll transition to a more consistent part-time to full-time schedule based on camp needs.

As a Camp Leader, you'll supervise campers ages 5–10, lead games and activities, help create a safe and welcoming environment, and support the daily operations of camp. Every day is different, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to make a positive impact on children's summer experiences.

Pay & Schedule

Starting pay: $17.25/hour

Job type: Seasonal full-time

Season length: Summer camp season, with potential to return for future camp sessions

Schedule:

  • Through August 17: Primarily serves as an on-call substitute, working shifts as needed to cover staff absences, planned time off, and program needs. Weekly hours will vary.
  • August 18 – September 4: Transitions to a more consistent part-time schedule based on camp operational needs until the conclusion of the summer camp season.

  • Supervise campers and support daily camp operations
  • Lead fun physical, creative, and educational activities

  • Support and guide Junior Leaders ages 13–15
  • Communicate with parents and staff professionally
  • Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies or behavior concerns
  • Assist with attendance tracking, reports, and program organization
  • Help maintain clean, organized activity spaces
  • Model positive behavior and active participation

QualificationsWhat We're Looking For
  1. Experience working with children or youth is required
  2. Leadership experience is preferred
  3. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  4. A positive attitude, patience, flexibility, creativity, and dependability.
  5. Ability to multitask, solve problems, and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors and staying active throughout the day. 
  7. Must be at least 16 years old and eligible to work in the United States at the time of hire. 
  8. Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification is required within 30 days of hire.
