Job Summary:
The Key Holder is the designated caretaker for the property. This position’s primary responsibility is to function as the additional "eyes and ears" for the property assigned. The Key Holder will also assist the rest of the staff, as directed, in their efforts to manage the community in an efficient manner.
Reports to: Property Manager, Supervisor and/or Owner
Wage Status: Hourly; $19.00 per hour, Non-Exempt
Job Status: 3.5 hours per week, part time
Onsite living required, 1/3 discount off the rent
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct all business in accordance with company Policy and Procedures, Tax Credit Regulations, Fair Housing Laws, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to multifamily housing.
Key Holders also perform duties like assisting residents and answering their questions.
General Duties- Cleaning required, including light cleaning of common areas, trash pickup, and maintaining general property cleanliness.
- Delivery of notices to residents as directed by management.
- Serve as a communication link between the community and Manager and/or Supervisor.
- Assist with resident concerns and questions.
Safety
- Ensure proper response and handling of all property emergencies with staff, residents, buildings, etc. within company guidelines to minimize liabilities (i.e., criminal activity on property, employee/resident injuries, fires, floods, etc.).
- Learn and ensure compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules
- Serve as a communication link between the community and manager and/or Supervisor
- Additional contact person for any emergencies that occur on property.
- Stay up to date with required compliance trainings
Physical Requirement:
- Stand and walk or sit alternatively depending on specific needs of the day.
- Occasionally need to perform following physical activities: bend/stoop/squat, pick up litter.
- May need to perform some of the following physical activities: writing/typing, client communications, telephone communications
Computer Skills: Word Processing, able to use payroll software
Work Hours: Part time – hourly position. Must be available for emergencies.
