Ophthalmology Hospital Sales
Scotland based with focus on the South of Scotland
Are you motivated by building meaningful partnerships in healthcare and making a real impact in ophthalmology?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, values driven pharmaceutical organisation with a strong and well-established ophthalmology portfolio. This is a direct to head count position working for our client. The role focuses on driving growth across medical and surgical ophthalmology within hospital and NHS settings across Scotland, with particular emphasis on the South of Scotland.
You will take full ownership of your territory, shaping strategy, building long term relationships and delivering sustainable commercial success across a high performing product portfolio.
The role
As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales performance across your territory by developing deep customer insight, creating robust account strategies and delivering high quality, value led customer engagement.
You will work in close partnership with NHS and private sector stakeholders, managing key accounts to maximise growth, secure formulary inclusion and identify new business opportunities.
This is an autonomous role suited to someone who enjoys accountability, development and continuous improvement, supported by a collaborative and engaged internal team.
What you’ll be doing
- Drive sales growth across hospital ophthalmology accounts in Scotland
- Own and deliver strategic key account plans to maximise access and uptake
- Build strong partnerships across NHS and private healthcare
- Engage and influence key stakeholders to progress account objectives
- Secure formulary listings and develop new business opportunities
- Maintain strong insight into the NHS, optometry and ophthalmology landscape
- Collaborate closely with internal sales, marketing and medical teams
You may be a strong fit if you bring:
- Experience in hospital sales, key account management or pharmaceutical sales
- Understanding of the NHS and private healthcare landscape in Scotland
- Strong planning, prioritisation and analytical skills
- A collaborative, inclusive and values led approach to work
- Confidence engaging with a wide range of healthcare stakeholders
Ophthalmology experience is advantageous but not essential if you have strong transferable hospital sales expertise and the appetite to build deep therapeutic knowledge.
Why consider this role
- Portfolio with sustained growth and strong clinical credibility
- High level of autonomy and ownership
- Supportive and values driven culture
- Opportunity to develop long term key account expertise
- Role aligned to purpose, progression and impact in healthcare
- Competitive salary, bonus, company car or car allowance
- 25 days holiday & holiday buy option up to 5 days
- Pension, healthcare scheme, EAP and other great benefits
