The Role

Location: North of England

IQVIA is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to work on a short-term 3-month project. Working in the Biosimilar market with a monoclonal antibody in Nephrology Rare Diseases, specifically PNH and aHUS. This is a field-based role ideally suited to someone located in the North of England.

Our client is a global biopharmaceutical leader committed to expanding access to high-quality biosimilar medicines. Since 2012, they’ve built one of the fastest-growing biosimilar portfolios in the industry, helping to improve patient outcomes while reducing healthcare costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with hospital stakeholders including clinicians, hospital managers, and high-cost drug pharmacists to drive product uptake and patient access.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to ensure decision-makers are fully informed and supported for optimal prescribing.
  • Market Development: Position the company as a trusted partner in the biosimilars and biologics space.
  • Insight Gathering: Monitor and report on competitor activity, treatment trends, and prescribing criteria.
  • Sales Delivery: Achieve sales targets and contribute to market share growth.

Skills & Experience:

  • Certifications: ABPI qualified.
  • Therapy Area Expertise: Ideally rare diseases such as PNH, aHUS, or with complement inhibitors.
  • Industry Background: Prior experience in biosimilars or biologics is highly desirable.
  • Sales Experience: 3–5 years in UK pharmaceutical sales, engaging with specialist stakeholders in secondary care.
  • Relationship Builder: Proven ability to develop impactful partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborative Mindset: A resilient team player with strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Innovative Approach: Creative thinker with excellent presentation and influencing capabilities.
  • Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence required.
