Key Account Manager role will focus on expanding Exact Sciences footprint to advanced screening launching CancerGuard, a first in class Multi Cancer Early Detection product, that is set to transform how cancer is detected.
CancerGuard will be first of its kind scientifically proven non invasive cancer detection test in Japan catered to every screening eligible population but more specifically to those with high risk of cancer in terms of age, family history and/or other clinical background. Target healthy patients can order this test via screening clinics with strategy to acquire and activate clinics to offer CancerGuard but also healthy patients been activated to ask for the test, via effective online and offline marketing strategy.
We are looking for a driven, talented and experienced account manager who will work together with a cross functional team to launch and drive commercial uptake of CancerGuard among identified accounts.
Position Overview
In this role KAM will be required to drive value proposition of new cancer detection test and work closely with identified screening clinics to enable product purchase and commercial uptake, with vision of making it as a standard of care test for every patient who desires to screen the risk of cancer.
She/he will build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of her/his customer needs with focus on Top Accounts and KOLs.
Essential Duties
include but are not limited to the following:
- Achieve sales goals in the accounts allocated by sales leader in achieving sales goals in the Region, conducting continuous assessment of the business opportunities, establish the key goals in prioritized key accounts, and execute the pre-defined commercial plan
- Manage key accounts in a holistic way (customer relationship, product & services) and drive sales in the assigned accounts delivering the selling message and promoting our products in collaboration with ROLs (co-promotion on top HCOs)
- Develop strong relationship with Key opinion leaders (KOLs) of the Region where they operate and drive the KOL commercial plan (in collaboration with Medical Affairs team).
- Drive effective local meetings clinic seminars and product trainings (in collaboration with Sales Force, Marketing and Medical Affairs). Also give presentations on the product at the screening clinics and attend relevant conferences/National events.
- Lead by example to enable different product offerings that will drive the Cancerguard usage broader business across key accounts representing a reference point for his/her colleagues in coordinating some specific marketing and commercial activities to be run at the trainings and activities
- Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, & teamwork and ensure respect of the identified SFE metrics targets
Expected areas of competence
- Strong sales background (Experiences outside of diagnostics and pharma are also welcome)
- Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in using business plans, sales and marketing campaigns, and other sales techniques to meet targets.
- Basic understanding of sales operations, background marketing, selling and how to add value through customer interaction and education.
- Good business acumen and in-depth understanding of how to identify customer needs
- KOLs management skills and In depth understanding of the SFE metrics value
- Ability to Identify profitable opportunities and to manage the territory business developing/executing effective initiatives.
- Able to act as a liaison with Sales Force, Medical, Customer service, and Mktg International Functions to achieve business objectives.
- Ability to deliver profitable sales through the effective use of resources to ensure sales targets are achieved/exceeded demonstrating personal accountability
- Strong intellectual/emotional capability to balance multiplicity of demands on role in a responsive and professional manner
- Understand market access at local level
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Solution-oriented team player.
- Support and comply with the company’s policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
- 5+ years of sales experience with a strong record of success promoting complex products in specialty care or oncology/diagnostics.
- Excellent understanding of cancer care in Japan in hospital and reimbursement setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Marketing, managed care or team leader experiences.
Employment Term: This role includes a 3-month probationary period during which employment conditions remain unchanged. Employment is on an indefinite-term contract, and a one-month notice period is required for voluntary resignation, in accordance with company policy. Employees may be required to work overtime based on business needs, including occasional holiday and weekend work, with compensation provided per company policy and local labor regulation.
Salary Range:
9 257 000 ¥ - 13 885 000 ¥The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. Additionally, this role includes either 30 hours of overtime per month or 10 hours of midnight work per month, depending on the position. This position is also eligible for a bonus.
