Role reports to: Commercial Early Talent Manager

Pay: The anticipated base pay for this role is $70,000 

What You Will Do  

The 2025 Customer Development & Commerce (CDC) Leadership Development Program is a multi-year rotational experience designed to help new college graduates develop leadership, analytical and communication skills through practical business experience and ongoing training & development, coaching and mentorship.  This is a full-time (40 hours per week) assignment for students graduating between December 2024 and June 2025. 


Key Responsibilities 

·    Work within a dynamic team that partners with key Food, Drug, Mass Merchandiser and Specialty Retailers across the country to identify and execute business-building opportunities.  (Key retailers may include Kroger, Walgreens, CVS, Target, Walmart and Amazon.) 

·    Develop strong Retailer, Category and Shopper analytical and insights skills by working with a variety of data sources, including IRI, Nielsen, POS, and Shopper/Panel 

·    Build technical expertise in data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power PBI, Nielsen Panel, Numerator, and Profitero 

·    Engage in on-going development with an intensive Onboarding Program, Ongoing Training & Development, Networking and Mentorship Programs 

·    Cultivate a strong skillset in the fundamentals of selling (this is not a direct-selling role) 

·    Work cross-functionally with internal partners including Marketing, Customer Strategy, Supply Chain, Sales Operations and IT 

As a CDC LDP associate, you will have an opportunity to contribute to business results as an integral member with project responsibilities that encompass: 

·    Executing strategic business plans and launching new creative and innovative products to our retail partners. 

·    Participating in Category Management and Shopper Marketing initiatives, including providing data analysis to uncover daring trends, executing retail & customer initiatives, and collaborating on strategic business building opportunities. 

·    Analyzing data to understand business drivers and trends 

·    Assisting with the management of promotional display programs 

·    Reporting and evaluating monthly sales versus forecast activity 

·    Supporting the new item launch process 

·    Executing retail and consumer initiatives and additional projects that support our key digital business initiatives



Qualifications

What We Are Looking For 

Required Qualifications 

·    Currently enrolled student completing a bachelor’s degree (from an accredited university or college) with anticipated graduation date between December 2024 – June 2025 

·    Minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA and ability to travel up to 10% domestic

·    Ability to prioritize tasks and lead multiple activities concurrently is required. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills

·    Ability to craft strong, collaborative working relationships and inspire creative solutions to accomplish team goals

·    Advanced Proficiency in Windows software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)


Desired Qualifications 

·    Concentration major of Marketing, Finance, or other Business academic major

·    A 6-month previous co-op or internship experience – previous Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), data analytics, digital marketing, or marketing-related field

·    Exposure to syndicated databases including Nielsen & IRI

·   Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI

·   Willingness to relocate geographically within the US
