VCA Animal Care Center of Sonoma County is adding a Patient Care Assistant to our team.
Location :6470 Redwood Dr., Rohnert Park, Ca. 94928
Compensation : $ 18.50-$20.00/hr
Schedule : FT 5/8's or 4/10's
What You’ll Do
As a Patient Care Assistant, you play a vital role in ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients, clients, and staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Running laundry throughout the shift
- Cleaning and maintaining hospital premises (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming)
- Emptying trash, recycling, and compost
- Cleaning and restocking exam rooms
- Cleaning cages and kennels
- Stocking supplies in common areas
- As you gain experience, you’ll have opportunities to learn animal handling and restraint, patient husbandry, and basic patient care and treatments.

- Works well on a team and independently
- Is compassionate, reliable, and eager to learn
- Has strong communication skills
- Understands the importance of cleanliness in a hospital setting
- Can stand for most of a shift and lift up to 40 lbs
- Is flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of a 24/7 hospital schedule
