Fault management Engineer for TX & IP – is an engineer responsible to perform remote provisioning and fault management of network elements, activation and termination of features, coordination and dispatching the field resources necessary to fulfill such changes on site, performs or supervises routine moves, additions, changes and deletions.
- Answer in time to all requests related to incidents that require expertise and support
- Checks daily planning and performs tasks accordingly
- Tasks include architecture, plans, design before implementation. These require certifications for respective equipment – Nokia (fALU), Cisco, Juniper
- Escalation to vendors, follow up and execution of changes suggested for solutions and closure of incidents
- Create RCA reports and documents with “lessons learned” when requested by either Nokia or the customer
- Checks and updates periodically Work Instructions received from customer
- Creates and tests new Work Instructions in collaboration with customer team
- Identifies and develops potential automation use cases
- Spanish minimum level B1
- Configuration and fault Management Experience
- Ability to troubleshoot and manage complex issues and work with counterparts in solving the issues
- Process oriented, presentation skills
- Availability to work during nights and for on-calls
- Network Management & Operation experience minimum 2 years, IP experience minimum 1 year
- Product knowledge of Nokia (fALU) ROUTER 7705/7750, 7120 and/or Cisco SWITCH 6450/6900
- Knowledge of WDM technology and products (Nokia 1830 PSS)
- Able to develop and improve existing working procedures and processes
