We are seeking a dedicated Junior System Administrator with prior experience in Windows administration to join our IT team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems by managing user accounts in STEP, assigning appropriate rights to new and existing users, and providing general administrative support to maintain our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Add new users to the STEP system, ensuring accurate setup and configuration.
- Assign rights and permissions to new and existing users within STEP.
- Regularly review and update user permissions to ensure proper access control.
- Respond to and resolve user access issues or permission-related inquiries.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware and software.
Documentation and Training:
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and user access rights.
- Assist in creating and updating user manuals and training materials for staff.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience with Windows administration is required.
- Familiarity with user account management and permission settings.
- Basic understanding of networking principles and enterprise IT environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Nice to have:
- Certification in Windows administration (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) is a plus.
- Experience with STEP or similar systems is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
