Job SummaryThe Junior Structural Engineer supports the design, analysis, and evaluation of building and infrastructure projects under the guidance of senior engineers. This role assists in preparing structural calculations, drawings, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.The Junior Structural Engineer collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, contributes to problem-solving and design optimization, and participates in site inspections to help ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery.Responsibilities & QualificationsResponsibilities
- Work with diverse disciplines in horizontal and vertical structural design delivery, including but not limited to structural, civil, environmental, social, finance, and economics.
- Reports to senior engineers and lead engineers for day-to-day tasks and deliverables.
- Review engineering design, plans, specifications, and estimates following applicable design codes.
- Working knowledge of codes such as AASHTO, DPWH DGCS, NSCP, ACI, AISC, etc.
- Assist in ensuring that drawings, calculations, and designs are by the company's production and design standards and strengths, and follow Quality Assurance and Control procedures.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
- Must be a registered professional engineer in the Philippines
- With 1-2 years’ experience in the design of infrastructure projects such as buildings, bridges, railways, etc.
- Familiarity with special seismic provisions of DPWH BSDS and NSCP.
- Shall know vertical and horizontal engineering principles and code.
- Requires knowledge of engineering principles and industry standards.
- Knowledge of structural engineering software is an advantage.
- Travel may be required.
- Must possess communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective project team collaboration and relationship building.
