Junior Strong QA Engineer

Our client is an eminent US-based legal case management software provider, offering prosecutors and public defenders an advanced tool for efficiently managing court cases. With a vast client base of over 700 organizations within the legal, alongside an impressive user count surpassing 13,000, they have established themselves as a leader in the industry. With 25+ years of experience, they have optimized the operations of numerous prosecutor and defender offices within the US judicial system. The customer approached us intending to modernize their legacy application, focusing on code migration and platform design enhancements. 

The current project is designed to enhance user’s work and time management. At its core, it is a fully customizable tool that allows users to manage their workflow, set different types of reminders, and log their working time. It consists of various separate modules, each one being responsible for a particular aspect of the prosecutor’s or defense attorney's work.

Job Purpose

As a Junior Software QA Engineer at Leobit company, you must be capable of performing Black-box testing of Web and Mobile platforms. You must have a keen eye for detail, critical thinking, and high organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate high result orientation and responsibility for own work.

Location: Lviv

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and validate requirements (specifications, acceptance criteria, etc.)
• Conduct requirements brainstorming sessions with the development team
• Create Test Documentation (test design, test scenarios, test cases, UI checklists, etc.). Prepare Test Data
• Perform Functional/non-functional testing of product increments
• Perform Black-box and grey-box testing
• Update baseline documentation following requirements changes
• Create bug reports and document deviations from the expected results with screenshots and videos
• Validate and triage Defects with project stakeholders
• Provide regular Test Status updates to stakeholders. Cross-team and client communication
• Work on automating regression test cases with mabl tool
• Work with Project and Test Management Tools

Requirements:

• 6+ months of working experience in testing web/mobile applications
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum)
• Understanding the purpose of Software Quality
• Understanding QA role in cross-functional Agile teams
• Knowledge of Fundamental Test Process Phases
• Knowledge of Testing Types and Techniques
• Knowledge of Test Documentation types/purpose
• Knowledge of Software Quality Characteristics
• Technical skills in test scenarios preparation and test execution
• Technical skills in documenting and troubleshooting defects
• Familiarity with test case/ project management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, Azure DevOps)
• Technical skills working with SQL Studio/other RDBMS systems
• Strong self-organization skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
• Level of English: Upper-intermediate or higher
