As a Junior Software Tester at SBS, you'll play a key role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our software products. Working alongside experienced developers and testers, you'll gain hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing, helping to shape the next generation of innovative solutions. This is the perfect opportunity to kick-start or grow your career in software testing while working in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
What will you be doing?
- Executing manual and automated test scripts to ensure that the application software works flawlessly
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify, log, and resolve defects
- Develop an understanding of the software development lifecycle, mastering techniques to analyse requirements, design comprehensive test plans, and execute a diverse array of test scenarios
- Translate complex technical information into actionable insights, effectively reporting on test progress and defects to drive continuous improvement
What are we looking for?
- 1-2 years of experience in software testing (or a strong passion for quality assurance!)
- Experience in the banking/finance industry is a bonus, but not essential!
- A sharp eye for detail and an investigative mindset—you love finding hidden bugs!
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills—you'll work closely with developers and stakeholders
- A drive to learn and adapt to new tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Basic understanding of software development standards and testing processes
