DEKA is looking for a highly motivated Junior Software Engineer to join a product team developing a new medical device. This is an on-site role, remote and hybrid are not available.
How you will make an impact as a Junior Software Engineer:
- Design, implement, and verify operation of embedded software in a multiprocessor, multithreaded real-time environment involving safety critical operations
- The project involves network communications, graphical user interfaces, complex modeling, cryptographic operations and real world interfaces
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
- Experience with multithreaded systems and asynchronous messaging
- A solid understanding of, and 1 year experience with, C and C++
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience designing and implementing software/hardware systems
- Experience using source control systems and working in a multi-developer environment
- Ability to communicate complex design and technical issues verbally and in writing
- Experience with user interface design and implementation a plus
- Experience with network communication implementation a plus
- Experience Android-Java application development is a plus
