About the Role
As a Junior Engineer, you will be collaborating in the development of our product. Full-stack software development will be your primary function, this means that you will be able to implement a feature completely from start to finish until it's live! You will play an active role in creating new features for our product. You will be expected to learn about our development process, participate in code reviews, and develop code that matches our quality standards.
The Tech Stack
Our applications use React, Apollo Client on the front end and Nodejs, graphql, Mysql, redis and elastic search which are split across multiple services. All of this lives in mono repo with "turn key" docker powered development environment allowing you as a developer to focus on what matters. Everything packed in a next generation PWA (Progressive Web Application) running in kiosk mode on Google Chrome OS devices, making us one of the first Google partners to build PWA's for the new ChromeOS web API's.

- Complete coding and maintenance tasks mostly by themselves, and stories with help from other team members.
- Get to know EverPass development process
- Assist their team with all aspects of software design and coding.
- Update development fixtures and tests as required Improve coding skills, and learn technical topics as required by their workstreams
- Participate in code reviews
- Attend and contribute to scrum events and company meetings
- Get to know the EverPass platform and its components, including what is required to meet our quality standards
- Gradually learn about monitoring our systems, and to troubleshoot and fix technical issues.
- Respond to requests from the development team
- Gradually acquire more responsibility in the development of our product
- Provide updated status reports as needed

- 1 year of professional programming experience.
- Knowledge of JavaScript (Full stack mindset)
