Responsibilities:
  • Assist with software development and debugging under senior guidance

    • Contribute to coding, testing, and debugging of software features and applications.

    • Help implement minor enhancements, bug fixes, or configuration changes.

    • Contribute to continuous testing efforts: Develop and maintain test cases, identify potential edge cases, and ensure ongoing system reliability and performance in dynamic warehouse scenarios.

  • Support integrated system testing of robotic warehouse automation solutions

    • Operate robotic systems during test runs to validate functionality and performance.

    • Document observed issues, symptoms, and perform preliminary root cause analysis.

    • Analyze test data (logs, sensor readings, cycle metrics) to support diagnostics and improvements.

  • Create and maintain documentation - Document test procedures, observed behaviors, software features, and integration details to support team knowledge sharing.

  • Follow safety and operational protocols - Adhere to safety standards when working with and around robotic equipment in warehouse environments.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software/Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a closely related field

  • Equivalent practical experience may substitute for formal education

Technical Skills:

  • Basic proficiency in Python and/or C++ programming (e.g., writing scripts, simple functions, loops, conditionals, and basic debugging)

  • Hands-on experience with software-hardware integrated system testing or development (gained through academic projects, internships, co-ops, personal robotics builds, or lab work etc.)

Experience:

  • 1+ years of relevant experience (internships, co-ops, capstone projects, or personal/hobby projects count fully)

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and debug issues in software or integrated systems

Preferred / Good to Have:
  • Exposure to tools such as Git/version control and robotics framework or simulation environments such as ROS, Gazebo etc.

  • Basic knowledge of control systems, PLC programming, sensors, or industrial automation concepts

  • Experience with industrial robots (e.g., Fanuc, Universal Robots, or similar arms) or related hardware

  • Any coursework or projects involving machine vision, autonomous navigation, motion planning, or embedded systems etc.

  • Experience with AI models for classification and segmentation

Soft Skills:
  • Take independent initiative and ownership of tasks, while seeking guidance when needed.

  • Strong analytical and debugging mindset—able to systematically break down problems and test hypotheses.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written (e.g., clear documentation of issues and findings) and verbal (e.g., explaining observations to team members).

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, evolving robotics setting.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality in testing and documentation.

Work Environment / Physical Demands:

Location: On-site at our facility in Dallas, TX.

Travel Requirement: Up to 35% domestic travel for customer site support, field testing, or training (notice provided in advance).

Work Setting: Primarily in an office/warehouse environment with robotic systems; includes exposure to noise, varying temperatures, and moving machinery.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift/carry up to 40lbs occasionally (e.g., test product, equipment or components).

  • Frequent use of hands for operating controls, tools, and computers.

  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary range: $60,000 - $90,000 (negotiable based on experience)
