ABOUT YOU
We are seeking a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer who is passionate about software quality and eager to grow in the field of manual and automated testing. You’ll work alongside a collaborative engineering team and contribute to delivering high-quality applications for our clients.
This role is ideal for someone who has a good eye for detail, enjoys finding issues before users do, and wants to gradually build their skills in scripting and automation. You will be involved in manual testing processes while getting exposure to basic scripting and automated testing frameworks.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Review and understand functional requirements to ensure they are testable
- Execute manual test cases across web and/or mobile applications
- Write, update, and maintain test documentation (test cases, test plans, bug reports)
- Perform smoke, regression, functional, and exploratory testing
- Identify, document, and track bugs using tools such as Jira
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
- Assist with writing and maintaining basic scripts for automated tests (e.g., using Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools)
- Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups
- Continuously learn and improve QA best practices and automation techniques
YOU ARE A GREAT FIT IF YOU BRING THE FOLLOWING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience (or currently pursuing one)
- 1-3 years of experience in software testing or QA roles
- Basic knowledge of testing methodologies (manual and automated)
- Familiarity with QA tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar
- Some exposure to scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) or willingness to learn
- Interest in learning automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Postman for APIs
- Detail-oriented mindset and strong communication skills
- Curious, proactive, and open to feedback and learning
- Good command of English (spoken and written)
