What we are looking for;
We are looking for a self-motivated candidate to join the Evotec Sample Management team as a Junior Project Manager at the Branford, CT site. The purpose of this position is to manage client interactions and advocate for the client internally to ensure deliverables are met. As part of the Sample Management project management team, the qualified individual will participate in the development of a growing operation and support daily lab operations. The position requires a highly motivated individual with attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work in a high demand environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assume primary responsibility for client data entry, including tracking sheets used to record work performed, and generation of monthly client invoices with input from multiple stakeholders.
- Accomplish project goals and objectives on time while meeting revenue, margin and budget targets.
- Keep project and operations teams informed of the status of client accounts, issues, plans and meetings while maintaining client contact commensurate with needs; arranges policy meetings with clients at suitable intervals.
- Produce e-mails, letters, presentations, spreadsheets, agendas and minutes when necessary.
- Oversee the sourcing and procurement of compound samples.
- Communicate client requests with operations team, IT and Informatics/software developers to support client work.
- Plan and report project progress in meetings and review and submit written reports to customers and management.
- Work closely with the finance team to track and report project revenue, expenses, and gross margin, and ensure correct and timely invoicing to customer.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all customer interactions.
- Collaborate with operations group to develop and implement improvements to sample management planning, activities, and deliverables.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated record of achievement in project management, ideally with experience in life sciences, drug discovery or related field.
- Training and experience managing external contracts and customers.
- Collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively across functions, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have a track record of efficient time management with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
- Optional: experience with Titian Mosaic or other Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) systems
- Other duties as assigned may be required

Education and experience:
A bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years’ experience working in life sciences, drug discovery or related field with a minimum of 1 year in a client facing role.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $47,600 to $74,800; Base salary offered may vary depending on the individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value.
