Make a difference as Junior Production Specialist Pepper
As Junior Production Specialist Pepper, you will play an important role in coordinating the global seed production of our pepper varieties. You will work closely with growers, production teams and colleagues across Research & Development, Seed Operations and Marketing & Sales to ensure the right seeds are available at the right time and quality. By monitoring crops, supporting production locations and improving production processes, you will directly contribute to the success of one of Enza Zaden’s most important vegetable crops. In this role, you will regularly visit production fields in the Netherlands and abroad, helping growers optimize crop performance and seed quality.
In this role, your work will include:
- Coordinating global pepper seed production activities to ensure availability, quality and timely delivery;
- Monitoring crops in the field, identifying pests, diseases and other production challenges, and advising on appropriate actions;
- Supporting and maintaining relationships with growers and production partners while tracking production progress and quality;
- Collecting, analyzing and registering production data to support forecasting, decision-making and continuous improvement;
- Initiating and managing production improvement projects and trials for new varieties and production methods;
- Collaborating with international stakeholders to establish optimal production conditions for new pepper varieties.

In addition, you have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Plant Sciences, Agribusiness, International Agribusiness or a related field;
- Some relevant experience in agribusiness, vegetable production and/or seed production, preferably within pepper cultivation;
- Knowledge of crop production, plant health, pests and diseases;
- Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is considered a plus;
- An analytical, practical and solution-oriented working style;
- A willingness to travel regularly within and outside Europe and a valid driver’s license.

A position for 38 hours per week;
A gross monthly salary between €3629.02 and €4746.26 (Scale G, Collective Labor Agreement for Vegetable Seed Companies), based on a full-time workweek of 38 hours and aligned with your knowledge and experience;
8.33% vacation allowance and an attractive annual bonus program of 10% of your annual salary, depending on your company performance;
25 vacation days, the option to purchase additional vacation days, and one paid vitality day per year, with extra vacation days granted as you get older;
A laptop and mobile phone provided by Enza Zaden;
A contribution toward overnight accommodation costs if you live farther away from Enza Zaden. This program applies to employees working for Enza Zaden in the Netherlands whose one-way commute exceeds 100 kilometers and 75 minutes;

Skills Required
- Higher professional education (HBO, Bachelor, College)
- No prior work experience required
- Educational background preferably in seed production, plant sciences, agronomics, supply chain or agricultural engineering
- Collaborative working skills
- Ability to learn and apply new skills in a structured manner
- Ability to analyse and work with complex problems and large data sets
- Computer skills, including Excel, ERP systems and planning systems
- Proficient in English and the local language (written and verbal)
- Knowledge of additional SEA languages
