Junior Platform Engineer – SAP BPC, SAC & GR

Purpose and Scope:

The Junior Platform Engineer – SAP BPC, SAC & GR is responsible for supporting and maintaining SAP BPC Standard environments and assisting with SAP Analytics Cloud Planning and S/4HANA Group Reporting capabilities. The role exists to provide hands-on technical and functional support across financial planning, consolidation, reporting, data validation, security profiling and BW integration activities, helping ensure stable, reliable and accurate finance technology solutions for business users.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Manage, support and troubleshoot existing SAP BPC Standard environments, including dimensions, dimension attributes, script logic, Business Process Flows and EPM reporting tools.
• Support SAP Analytics Cloud Planning activities, including execution and troubleshooting of Data Actions, Advanced Formulas, validation rules, value driver trees, planning layouts and security profiling.
• Assist with implementation and support of S/4HANA Group Reporting processes, including FS Items, consolidation units, validation rules, matrix consolidation and Data Collection app forms.
• Work with SAP BW-related objects such as Advanced DSOs, Composite Providers, CDS Views and BEx query elements to support planning, consolidation and reporting requirements.
• Perform root-cause analysis on data and structural mismatches between BW data providers, SAP BPC models and live reporting layers, escalating complex issues where required.
• Build and maintain responsive SAC storyboards, management dashboards and predictive forecasting workflows that support finance and executive reporting needs.
• Implement, monitor and troubleshoot automated validation rules, intercompany reconciliation matrices and multi-currency translation methodologies.
• Collaborate with Finance, DigitalX, PlatformX and cross-functional technology teams to translate business requirements into effective SAP planning, consolidation and reporting solutions.
• Maintain clear documentation, follow support processes and contribute to continuous improvement activities across SAP BPC, SAC Planning, BW and Group Reporting landscapes.
• Develop and maintain relevant SAP application knowledge, with SAP certification in SAC Planning, Group Reporting or BPC considered advantageous.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Foundational understanding of SAP BPC Standard, SAP Analytics Cloud Planning, S/4HANA Group Reporting, SAP BW or related finance technology platforms.
• Basic knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, reporting and data validation processes.
• Ability to support troubleshooting, data analysis, documentation and issue resolution across SAP planning and reporting solutions.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on exposure to SAP BPC objects such as dimensions, script logic, Business Process Flows, EPM reports or input templates.
• Experience or training in SAP Analytics Cloud Planning capabilities, including Data Actions, Advanced Formulas, planning models, dashboards and security roles.
• Exposure to S/4HANA Group Reporting concepts such as FS items, consolidation units, validation rules, intercompany reconciliation or matrix consolidation.
• Familiarity with SAP BW objects such as ADSOs, Composite Providers, CDS Views, BEx Queries or Analysis for Office.
• SAP certification, formal SAP training or prior internship/project experience in SAP BPC, SAC Planning, BW, S/4HANA Finance or Group Reporting is advantageous.
