Your Opportunity
The Canada West Energy and Resources team has an exciting opportunity for a junior Pipeline Drafter to join our established and supportive team. As a Pipeline Drafter, you will work with support and close guidance on tasks for projects in a team environment on a variety of projects. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment and learn new skills.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Apply diversified knowledge of design principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields
- Maintain drafting processes and procedures to follow and apply commonly used drafting concepts, practices, procedures and policies within the resource industry
- Assist more experienced draftspersons on complex projects
- Set up and preparation of engineering drawing plans, sections, profiles and details in compliance with Client’s CAD standards and protocols
- Preform self checks on produced work
- Produce high quality drawings and drawing sets in the appropriate software
- Assist the design team in drawing development
- Creating and revising Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Working with and creating scalable CAD drawings
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Strong communication skills for written and verbal interactions
- Ability to proactively identify and solve problems
- Develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, or layouts from sketches
- Operate CAD equipment efficiently
- Check and verify drawings to ensure they conform to Spec.
- Must be organized and be able to complete tasks within timeframe provided
Education and Experience
- Technical degree/diploma/certificate from accredited design or drafting post secondary program.
- Minimum of 0-1 years of experience.
Typical office environment working with computers; Stantec offers a flexible work environment (a hybrid model of working in the office and at home).

About the TeamSkills Required
