The Role:
Hogarth is seeking an experienced Junior Online Editor with a strong technical background to work within our busy post-production department. The ideal candidate will have an excellent working knowledge as well as other industry standard post-production platforms and integration.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Finishing broadcast commercials for the Asian markets
- Ensuring that all materials meet broadcast legal and technical standards
- Possessing a broad understanding of post-production processes, including VFX, color correction, motion graphics, offline editing, and audio
As an Online Editor, the key requirements are:
- Experienced in online editing in the post-production industry
- Proficiency in client-attended sessions, with excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of After Effects, Premiere Pro, and broadcast technical QC processes
- Good working knowledge of Mac OSX and file-based workflows
- Competency with other editing/compositing software (e.g., DaVinci, Nuke) would be a bonus
- Thorough understanding of video codecs, intermediary processes (e.g., EDL, XML, standards conversions), and other post-production workflows and services
- Ability to adapt to new working methods and practice technology advances
- Competence in media management and archiving of projects
- Excellent time management skills and multi-tasking abilities
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize the importance of the work
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Positive attitude towards problem-solving and tight deadlines
